WHO CAN I CALL?

You can call any telephone number you normally can from a mobile or landline including international numbers.

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

You can use a SIP enabled phone, soft client on your PC or an app on a mobile or tablet.

WHAT IS VoIP?

VOIP is an acronym for Voice Over Internet Protocol, or in more common terms phone service over the Internet. If you have a reasonable quality Internet connection you can get phone service delivered through your Internet connection instead of from your local phone company at a fraction of the cost of maintaining your in-house PBX (phone system).

HOW DOES IT WORK?

A “cloud based phone system” is a phone service delivered through the internet, also know as an “internet based phone system” or more commonly “VoIP” (Voice over Internet Protocol). Both of these terms refer to a group of phones that work together, typically in a business setting, to route calls using an internet connection. A VoIP cloud based phone system doesn’t rely on traditional on-premise hardware or costly maintenance. Typically this can save your business 40-80% on your phone bill. Your cloud phone system can also route inbound calls to the correct workers inside your company. It can also provide telephony applications like voicemail, call forwarding, call queues and hunt groups.

CAN I KEEP MY EXISTING NUMBER?

Yes, we can port your number into our system, this usually takes 2-3 weeks depending on provider.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE INTERNET GOES DOWN?

You have more options available to you than with traditional ISDN based phone systems. If the Internet goes down, you have several options. 1. Use a softphone through 3G or 4G access from your mobile or PC. 2. Move the handset to another Internet connection easily. 3. Login to the client portal and forward your number to another destination. 4. You can setup find me, follow me options. So if your connection goes down it will automatically forward to your mobile or if you away from your desk/phone after 15 seconds you can automatically forward to call to your mobile.

How long does it take to install?

Usually within 30 minutes.

HOW ARE MY CALLS MADE SECURE?

The Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (or SRTP) defines a profile of Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP), intended to provide encryption, message authentication and integrity, and replay protection to the RTP data in both unicast and multicast applications. It was developed by a small team of IP protocol and cryptographic experts from Cisco and Ericsson including David Oran, David McGrew, Mark Baugher, Mats Naslund, Elisabetta Carrara, Karl Norman, and Rolf Blom. It was first published by the IETF in March 2004 as RFC 3711.

WHAT IS A SOFTPHONE?

A VoIP software client is a software application that is also called a softphone. It is normally installed on a user's computer, mobile phone or tablet and allows the user to make VoIP calls. Through the VoIP client, a user can make cheaper local and international calls as these are routed through the hosted phone cloud service in the same way your normal handsets do. This can give users access to the phone system without purchasing a handset and can also keep mobile bills down.

HOW DO I ANSWER A CALL WITH ANOTHER DEVICE?

Call Pickup features allow to answer any call you can hear ringing, this is easy configure in the web portal.

IS IT RESTRICTED TO USE IN THE UK?

No, if you are a frequent traveller you can use a soft client to connect back to the UK and enjoy the benefits of local UK call rate charges. Calls will appear as though they came from your office. All you need is an Internet connection or Wi-Fi hotspot.
